Lee’s Toy Review #144/October 2004 Mezco’s American Gothic LDD cover ‘Tis the season for trick-or-treating, and shipping to newsstand just in time is the latest issue of Lees Toy Review. With the gruesomely disturbing photo of Mezco’s American Gothic Living Dead Dolls, you’ll just know you stumbled upon the October Review. Not only does the issue reveal Mezco’s newest assortments of twisted toys, but it also includes coverage of KBD’s new and terrifyingly frightening Little Apple Dolls and the Citizen Urban Icon line. On the lighter side, a history of Freddy FunKo, FunKo’s mascot, is featured, accompanied by an interview with C.O.F. (Chairman of Fun) Mike Becker. Which brings me to my next order of business, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: the 200-piece limited edition Lee’s Toy Review exclusive Count Funkula from FunKo. With that being said, further details are included in the issue (did you think I was going to spill the beans now?). Also look for updates on the newest from Diamond and DC Direct, McFarlane, Palisades, and X-Plus, as well as coverage of the Philippine Toy Con. As always, the DMV section features the coolest Hot Wheels, including The Lost Cars of China, the 1:18-scale Acura RSX-XXL, and the latest to hit peg walls. Johnny Lightning’s Mustang II Release 2 and Jada’s brand new Von Dutch Garage Series are also covered in this issue, accompanied by the newest Dragon Models planes from the popular Warbirds Series. Regular monthly appearances are also featured, including Action Review and DMV Mechanics, as well as G.I. Joe Files, Transformers File, Inve$tmentary, i-News, and Price Guide News. You’ll be sure to find accurate information in our detailed price guide; from action figures to die-cast cars, we’ve got it all. PLUS Our monthly pull-out guide for October features Lee’s Guide to Collecting International G.I. Joe. Our first ever International Joe Guide includes figures and vehicles from Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Use this detailed guide, and get what you’re missing. All this and much more is contained within the pages of another solid issue of Lee’s Toy Review. Happy Halloween! |
