At this time of year, and especially but not limited to tomorrow, we reflect on the things we're thankful for. And do you know what we're thankful for? Playboy Magazine. And we're thankful to Hef, for forging ahead with that publishing empire of his, despite the moral objections and legal vicissitudes of the McCarthy era in which it was born and fought for space to breath and live, and for bringing the world the classiest men's magazine there ever was or will be. No matter how you feel about the Playboy aesthetic of that day compared to today, you have to admit the magazine was a force for social change, and took very risky stands against racism, religious intolerance, and freedom of speech. And you know what? We're not the only ones who appreciate this man and his publishing accomplishments -- no sir. Beeline Creative is appreciative too. And they've shown it in spades, with this happy little Hugh Hefner Bobblehead. Here's The Man himself as the distinguished elder statesman of a free press, flaunting his signature style -- pipe in mouth, jammies and smoking jacket, and martini in hand -- every inch the man's man. What's better than this? The younger version of Hef Bobblehead, savvy, hard-hitting publishing mogul, free-wheeling entrepreneur, and "playboy" idol, along with a bevy of Bobbling Beauties to accompany him. Beeline has a whole series of these babies available. Right now, Beeline doesn't have much of a website going on for you to check out, but they say it'll be up soon. Google 'em. Go ahead. See for yourself. In the meantime, one place you CAN find these Bobbleheads, and likewise show your own appreciation, is Entertainment Earth. Happy Thanksgiving from everybody here at Lees Toy Review! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
