 Here's a photo of the "Super Chase" variant of the New York Yankees Babe Ruth Sports Picks figure, which will ship in cases of Cooperstown 6 figures in late January. We reported a while back, and in Issue 194 of Lee's Toy Review (due in stores any minute) that McFarlane Toys will be shipping the rarest of the rare action figure collectibles, in the form of a very special variant edition of the Cooperstown 6 Babe Ruth figure. The regular figure will appear in the 1920 uniform, with a white cap and blue pinstripe uniform. However, and here's the super rare bit -- five of these Yankee versions of Babe Ruth got an alternate paint job -- with the hat painted dark blue with a white NY logo. Two of those five went automatically into the McFarlane Toys archive. THREE will be let loose to the general public, and who knows where?! Keep your eyes peeled! If you get one, it'll be the best home run you ever hit on the secondary market. Read it now, believe it later.  |
