Tuesday, October 14, 2008  -- We have Lift-Off.

Welcome to the newly refinished web site -- LeesToyReview.com.  Many thanks to those of you who've both patiently and impatiently traversed the void of the old site to get here — to this, the starry part of the Webiverse.

And, of course, a glad welcome to all first-time visitors to the web site!
Here is where the monthly print magazine meets the Internet and vice versa.
You'll find features here that you won't find in the print version,
and the print version will carry features not found here,
both working in tandem to bring you the best overall
coverage of the hobby available.

Features of this site include:

• Toy Ticker - The absolute latest breaking toy & auction news.

• News - Divided into two sections, Action Figures and Die-Cast, offering the very latest collector-related news from the toy industry.

• Reviews - We review new products and companies with an educated eye, and make recommendations and referrals based on what we've discovered.

•  Blog -- The editors wax philosophic daily about such things as the state of the hobby, state of the art toy technologies, investment strategies, selling, buying, and trading what you love best -- toys.

•  Features -- Here we post exclusive interviews with toy industry professionals.  These interviews will be a mix of old and new.  You'll find timely interviews with today's industry stars and you'll get interviews that are long since out-of-print from Lee's Toy Review issues of yesteryore.

•  Photo Gallery -- This is a work in progress, but will ultimately host event coverage photos and the entire Lee's Toy Review toy archives.

•  Lee's Toy Review Magazine -- Here you'll find information on the latest print magazine on newsstands.

•  Forums -- Ah, the forums.  Come greet and meet your fellow collectors and readers of Lee's Toy Review!   Talk about toys, what you just read in the magazine, or about something you read in the magazine 18 years ago -- yeah -- we've been around that long!

• STORE -- Last but CERTAINLY NOT least, the shopping cart !  Order subscriptions, back issues, and Lee's Toy Review exclusive toys easily online -- 24 hours a day!  The Store will be open for business in just a few short days!

•  Other features of the site -- You also get the toy and entertainment related "Quote of the Day," a weekly Top Ten Poll, and "MANdatory Video of the Day."

However you choose to use and enjoy the site, welcome to the Renaissance!  Okay, not as big as the one that happened in Europe between the 14th and 17th centuries, but -- still big!

Quote of the day

Robin: "Picked up the seal pulsator yet, Batman?"
Batman: "We're still over land, Robin, and a seal is an aquatic, marine mammal."
Robin: "Gosh, yes, Batman, I forgot."
