McFarlane Toys is mixing it up for the NFL season this year by offering a third modern football line of Sports Picks; the first time since 2004. Four years ago, NFL Waves 8, 9, and 10 were released tight together.
This year's Wave 3 got a mid-December slot, to give NFL Sports Picks
collectors something fresh as the season heads into the playoffs.
Here’s the Wave 3 lineup (four figures): Clinton Portis 2: Washington's explosive running back was only available in this pose as part of an earlier two-pack. Now it’s available on a single-carded for the first time Donald Driver: There's plenty of drama for your mamma in Packers camp this summer, but it’s not about Donald Driver, an inveterate and classy receiver just looking to catch a lot of footballs again this year. Jay Cutler: This Broncos leader had a revealing off-season, where he discoveried announced his Type 1 diabetes. Despite this fact Cutler is determined to turn in a great 2008 season for Denver. Marion Barber III: The always dangerous Barber has netted the recently exited Julius Jones starting running back job this year. With Dallas a bona fide 2008 playoff threat, you can bet Barber will be a serious contender. 2008 NFL Wave 3 is scheduled to arrive on shelves in mid-December.
