Despite having a huge female fan following, it seems that anime is appealing squarely to men when it comes to making collectibles based on Japanese animation. Hmm. We wonder why? Case in point -- the Masamune Shirow Hyakkisho Shion Statue. Tight top? Check. Rubber stockings? Check. Stilettos? Check. Pants? Negative. Based on the work of Ghost in the Shell artist Masamune Shirow, heads will turn, if not 360 degrees, to zero in on this 9-inch plastic statue. ![]() Hyakkisho Shion is based on an erotic art book created and illustrated by the internationally renowned manga artist, Masamune Shirow. He is best known for the manga Ghost in the Shell, which has since been turned into three anime movies, two anime TV series and several video games. Shirow is also popular for creating erotic art. Hyakkisho Shion stands 9-inches tall, made of PVC and comes in a window box. If you're a Masamune Shirow fa/collector, it's a no-brainer. She's available online now, wherever fine figures are sold. We suggest you check out the advertisers in the magazine or here on this page. |
