Ignite Industries - Making History
Written by James Tomlinson
Tuesday, 22 July 2008
Ignite Industries always keeps us guessing as to what period of history they’ll tackle next.  This month they take us back to 17th century Europe and the introduction of firearms to the military arsenals of the dominating world powers of that age, England and France.
I ngnite’s 17th Century “Musketeer,” comes fully outfitted in period attire and accessories, right down to his boot socks.  The musket is period authentic as well, representing the grandfather of today’s long gun. This version actually used a length of slow-burning rope to ignite the gunpowder charge, a technology that preceded the flintlock.  This figure is available to order now from select online retailer that carry the Ignite brand.
