The new animated series debuts November 14.  Here’s an advanced look at the Mattel toy line inspired by it.  Here are images of the upcoming Batman: Brave and the Bold figures, deluxe figures and vehicles. They will be on shelf on January 2009.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold
is the upcoming animated television series based partially on the comic book series of the same name, which is scheduled to debut on November 14, 2008 on Cartoon Network.  In the series Batman teams up with a host of familiar DC Comics heroes faves, including Adam Strange, Aquaman, The Atom, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Deadman, Doctor Fate, Fire, Firestorm, Flash, Green Arrow, The Green Lantern Corps, Guy Gardner, Justice Society of America, Jonah Hex, Kamandi, Huntress, Metamorpho, Red Tornado, Plastic Man, and Wildcat.  They will be pitted against the likes of Black Manta, Calendar Man, Cavalier, Clock King, Gentleman Ghost, Gorilla Grodd, Kite Man, Kanjar Ro, Ocean Master, and Zebra-Man.  This is an animated series with potential to spawn lots of action figures, so we’re happy.

Quote of the day

Robin: "Picked up the seal pulsator yet, Batman?"
Batman: "We're still over land, Robin, and a seal is an aquatic, marine mammal."
Robin: "Gosh, yes, Batman, I forgot."
