Cataloguing a ridiculous collection

Hello!

I have been collecting Star Wars stuff (mostly action figures) since they came out in '78. I have amassed a ridiculous collection and now it's time to pass it along to the next owner. My wife has been contacting museums and in order to be able to have it count towards my taxes (and make it a good donation), I need to go through and catalog it all.

Since this forum is a great place for Star Wars fans and action figure fans to congregate, I thought I would put it out there that I need help and ideas. What do you think the best way to do this would be?

My wife and I thought that it would be good to just go through each box and list out what it contains in a spreadsheet, with each item being marked "in box #X" along with a detailed description of each one.

I was thinking that if anyone had an electronic version of all the figures and variations, it would certainly help my cause and speed up the cataloging.

Can anyone help me find this? If there's a URL to go to, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Billy Cain

[I checked through the rules section above and I believe this would be a valid request. If it's not, please delete this post.]

It looks like this is the best list I can find:

is a social network where you can catalog, showcase, value, sell, and trade your collectibles with your friends and other collectors who have the same interests. It's in v1 beta and they are about to release v2 which is going to be even better! They already have a lot of collectibles added to their system but if it's not in there, anyone can create the item and/or category. Check it out!
