GreenLight 1:64 Auction Block Series 12 does not Require a Bid
A die-cast experience that showcases cars sold at both the Barrett-Jackson Auction and the Mecum Auto Auction
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 31, 2010) So if you missed out at the auction, well don’t worry because these cars have made a reappearance with a limited production run of 3,500 units.   Being released in May 2010 these authentic replicas of cars sold at auction feature opening hoods, detailed engines, real rubber tires, metal body and chassis, detailed graphics, custom license plates and are officially licensed by the respective automobile companies.
“These cars archive a past of limited editions and renewed character.” Says Mathew Elliot, Director of Production at GreenLight “What stood out about these cars is their deep and varied history in automobile archives.” From the 1966 Chevrolet Corvette that has been through a frame off restoration to the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette 427 kept in mint condition from original purchase, these models come from every stage of life.  The 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge was one of seventeen and then only one of six with a 400 Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission.  The 1968 Plymouth HEMI GTX is referred to as the “Gentleman’s Muscle Car” but with the addition of the optional HEMI engine was only one of 450 made.  The 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda a big block convertible was only 1 of 128 and the 1966 Shelby GT-350 was completely restored with the original numbers matching motor.  Each car has its own story of survival and accomplishments, bound to make any car enthusiast passionate and now collectors can own an authentic replica.
